io was attracted to what he calls the C.H.I.P.S version of LA. He gravitates towards buildings and parts of town that look like it could still be 1977. That is the LA he knew growing up in Georgia. He tries to take different routes to and from work and he's always driving through different neighborhoods. Most of his artwork comes from what he drives past on a daily basis.
