Selected for their textural and tactile qualities, these pieces are hand crafted from natural wool, jute, cotton and hemp. For the charcoal and ash tones Armadillo&Co. uses earthy dyes. The color of the fibers are otherwise as Mother Nature, the best supplier, created them.

Jodie Fried and Sally Pottharst, the founders of Armadillo&Co., first met while collaborating on a rug project for Jodie's business, Bholu. Designed in Australia and manufactured in India, Armadillo&Co. make eco-friendly rugs crafted from sustainable natural fibers including pure wool, jute, cotton and hemp. All rugs are handmade on looms by traditional weavers in India, and carry the 'KALEEN' label to ensure there is no child labor used in the making of these rugs. Armadillo & Co. aims for their rugs to lie lightly on this earth. Every piece embraces Fair Trade practices and all purchases benefit local schools in their weavers's villages.
