After years of making handmade holiday cards for friends and family, husband and wife team Matthew and Ariana Broerman started Paper Cloud in the fall of 2005. Their first designs were handmade cards. Then they added hand-bound journals which we created with decorative fabrics and papers, learning as they went, experimenting with various fabrics, papers, glues, and techniques. As designers, they wanted to add more of our own touch, their own aesthetic sensibilities, to the pieces they were creating. So they learned to screen-print, and began creating their own fabrics which then led them into other areas. Their designs are inspired by the sometimes quirky beauty of nature, interpretations of all that surrounds them. They're constantly evolving, adding new designs and colors, dreaming about new products and bringing them to life.
